More People Than Teams?
If you have more people than entries, let people share an entry or run extra rounds. If you have fewer people than entries, give some people two or three, ideally a mix of strong and weak. Agree which before the draw.
More People Than Entries
- Share the entry: two people hold the same horse or team and split any prize.
- Run a second sweepstake: everyone gets an entry in one of two draws.
- Use a sweepstake with more slots: a Grand National has up to 34 horses, while a live football match in SquadGames supports 2 to 21 players, so pick the format that fits your group.
Fewer People Than Entries
- Give some people two or three so every entry has an owner.
- Balance them: try not to give one person all the favourites.
- Leave some entries unowned: then decide whether an unowned winner means a rollover or no winner.
Whatever You Choose, Decide First
Settle this before the draw, not after. See the rules checklist.
