Sweepstake
A Christmas or Boxing Day Premier League sweepstake lets everyone in the family group chat be drawn a random player for the day's matches, and whoever's player scores wins. SquadGames does it free: create a squad, share the link, and players are drawn automatically at kick-off. No money, no spreadsheet.
Why Football Sweepstakes Work Over Christmas
The Premier League traditionally plays through the festive period, and Boxing Day falls on Saturday 26 December 2026. Check the league's published fixture list for the exact dates and kick-off times. It is the one time of year when the whole family is in the same room, or the same group chat, with a match on in the background.
A free sweepstake gives everyone, including the people who do not follow football, a reason to watch. There is no money involved, so nobody has to worry about who owes what.

- Run one per match: if several games are on, make a fresh sweepstake for each so everyone gets a chance.
- Next Goal Scorer suits a busy match, because you can win more than once.
- Pick a silly prize: choose the next film, skip the washing up, or get the last mince pie.
- Keep it free: bragging rights are plenty at Christmas.
