⚖️ Comparison
SquadGames vs
Spreadsheets
& WhatsApp
For a football sweepstake, a spreadsheet is flexible but manual, a WhatsApp group is easy but relies on trusting the organiser, and a paid pool adds money and admin. SquadGames is a free app that draws players automatically at kick-off and tracks goals live, so it suits matchday sweeps best.

When a Spreadsheet Is Better
If you want a season-long table with custom scoring, a spreadsheet gives you total control. The trade-off is that you do all the work: the draw, the updates and the results.
When a WhatsApp Group Is Enough
For a one-off draw among people who already trust each other, posting names and drawing them in the chat is fine. It gets awkward when the organiser has to track a live game or settle a dispute about who drew whom.
When SquadGames Fits
When you want a fresh sweepstake for each Premier League match, with a fair automatic draw and live results, and without collecting money. You can still share the invite link in your WhatsApp group, so the two work together.
